  1. What genre(s) do you write?
Contemporary romance. My books have humor, drama, and do their darndest to grab readers by their emotions and not let go! :)

2. Coffee or tea lover?
Blech! LOL Sorry, I’m not a fan of hot drinks at all, but I’m also the worst southerner ever because I despise sweet tea! (or any tea)

3. Name one thing on your bucket list.

I want to travel the world (and in a BIG way): I want to see the northern lights, the pyramids, the Taj Mahal, Machu Picchu, etc. Basically, all those wonders of the world that show up on lists all the time. And wow, wouldn’t it be awesome to basically spend a year traveling the world and seeing all of that in one big trip? *sigh* (My bucket list might shoot a little high :-/ )

4. Do you have pets?
Two dogs--Biscuit and Jelly. One is a total lunatic and LOVES everyone and everything (and gets so excited his entire body waggles), and the other is the silent alpha type who sits and directs the action. He’s the first in line if there’s love to be handed out, though!

5. When I wake up every morning I... check my email/Facebook while still in bed for the sole purpose of using the phone screen to wake up my brain.

6. Weirdest or unique thing you own.
Most unique trip: celebrated my 30th birthday (way back when) with a round-trip bus ride to see Rick Springfield in concert (who’d been my TOTAL teenage crush) with my high school bff, 7th row tickets (I even touched him when he walked across the seats into the crowd…*swoon*). We weren’t even staying overnight, just two night-time bus rides there and back, and we were so excited about the trip that we didn’t sleep at all on the 10-hour drive there (we were also highly intrigued since we’d never taken a greyhound before). We got there, played tourist for a while, decided we were grungy so found a hair salon to get our hair washed and dried then used their restroom to wash our faces and change our clothes, then we went to the concert, enjoyed every second, and immediately caught our bus home . . . where we instantly crashed until the bus pulled back up in Nashville! It was the best trip ever!

7. Do you have any hobbies or particular skills?
I haven’t done it in years, but I used to cross-stitch and/or crochet all the time. The Mister always thought that made me look like an old lady ;) My most recent hobbies have been coming up with and implementing “projects” around the house. Painting/renovating (before we bought the new house), landscape, reorganizing the pantry and closets, etc. Basically, if it’s both creative and allows the left side of my brain to plan and implement, then I’m in!

8. What do you hope readers will experience or gain when reading your stories?
A sense of hope and smile of happiness, both in their hearts and on their faces. But I also love to tuck experiences or facts into books that maybe everyone hasn’t run across before, just for the sole purpose of having readers think, “wow...I never knew that.” (I love it when I learn something unexpected from books, so I often attempt to do the same :) )

9. What inspired you to write Montana Dreams?
There are so many different types of people in the world, and I love to explore all kinds. So given that Jaden was already in the earlier books and I knew that he was a by-the-book type, psychology major (who secretly thought he was “superior” due to being the one in the family to figure out what their mother’s behavior issues had stemmed from), I really wanted him to run up against his total opposite, and I wanted the core of who that person was to DRIVE HIM ABSOLUTELY CRAZY! Thus, Arsula is someone who lives based upon her feelings, and who believes wholeheartedly in what dreams can tell a person. This coupling seemed like the makings of a fun relationship to me :)

When Jaden Wilde’s girlfriend turns down his marriage proposal just months before he receives his master’s in counseling, he’s convinced that it’s cold feet. Until he learns that her no came at the advice of a new age “dream reader.” But Arsula’s hardly the woo-woo hippie his scholarly mind imagined. She’s charming, smart, and uncannily perceptive. And before long, he’s drawn to her—despite his ongoing skepticism for how her practice works.
Arsula’s intuitions led her to Birch Bay not to guide Jaden’s girlfriend—but to guide him to his best life possible. As the odd one out in an unsupportive family, Arsula can relate to the struggle to find one’s path, and she wants to see Jaden with the woman of his dreams. Although she’s cautious of being the rebound girl, what she’s starting to feel for him is too real to ignore.
When Jaden’s own volatile family issues come to a head and his doubts are made resoundingly clear, Arsula worries she’s misread the signs. Maybe they’re all wrong for each other. Maybe he should be with his ex. She’s supported him, but if he can’t believe in her, how will they ever find out if they’re truly meant to be?
